Axpo is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Procurement Centre of Excellence (CoE) to drive innovation, digitalization, and best practices across our Group Procurement organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead a team of 4 and an organization of 20, including the Procurement Shared Service Centre, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of procurement at Axpo.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the CoE team, building a culture of trust, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion digital procurement transformation and the adoption of advanced technologies and analytics.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize procurement processes, policies, and best practices for the entire Axpo Group.
  • Support category management, complex sourcing, and supplier relationship management with expert tools and insights.
  • Ensure governance and compliance across all procurement activities.
  • Build procurement capability, deliver training, and promote knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Champion the Source-to-Pay Council and optimize efficiencies across the end-to-end process.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and executive leadership to align CoE initiatives with Axpo-s strategic goals.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in procurement, digital transformation, and process automation-ideally in a global or complex environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on expertise with leading procurement digital tools such as SAP Ariba, Akirolabs, Sievo, Celonis and related analytics and automation platforms.
  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices, governance, and compliance.
  • Experience managing shared service centres is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Fluent in German and English; Spanish, French and/or Italian are a plus.
  • Relevant university degree and professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM) preferred.
